Tributes Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.
Well beyond 14 days following the shocking loss of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the pair.
‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director
Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt prepared to express about his deep grief.
"Adequate time has passed that I can now express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, noting that his introductory moment with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced passing more hours together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."
The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the production, commenting that he could not remember "a single day without joy".
"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob valued immensely. This is one of the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes continued.
He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He finished with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."
Martin Scorsese Remembers a Colleague and Comrade
In a separate tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.
"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.
Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.
"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese wrote.
Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed
This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge ruled to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.
A legal directive placed a security hold on the investigation to limit the public release of "related notes, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the active case.
The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of foul play, with a record listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".
Response and Criticism

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the critics recently. Talking on his podcast, Rogan labeled the comments as "shocking" and remarked they showed a concerning absence of compassion.
