Tottenham Manager Frank Calls Vicario Booers 'Not Real Fans'
Fulham Begin Powerfully to Beat Tottenham and Raise Pressure on the Manager
Tottenham Hotspur supporters who jeered keeper Vicario were told afterwards "they cannot be real Spurs fans" by manager Thomas Frank.
Tottenham conceded two scores in the first initial moments to fall 2-1 to their opponents, registering their 10th Premier League home defeat of 2025.
But the primary topic of discussion was the visitors' second score when the keeper lost possession well outside his box.
The goalkeeper came out to handle a high pass and carried the ball towards the sideline.
But, instead of kicking it into touch, the Italy international spun and tried to clear, but slipped as the ball glanced off Wilson and was collected by Josh King.
King laid the ball off to Wales midfielder Harry Wilson, who curled a shot into the goal from the touchline measured at thirty-six point six metres.
Moments later when the ball went to Vicario again, a number of Tottenham fans booed him.
Spurs were jeered off at the interval, with the side 2-0 behind, and once more at the final whistle.
A particular of those booing episodes truly irritated the manager.
"It came to my attention some of our fans reportedly booed the incident and jeered following, which, in my opinion is completely unacceptable," the Danish manager stated regarding the supporters' reaction to his goalkeeper.
"Those individuals cannot be true Tottenham fans that do that. Alright booing after the match, fine, but when we are playing, we are backing each other, we are with one another moving ahead."
Kenny Tete had handed the visitors a fourth-minute lead before Wilson's strike – with Mohammed Kudus netting for Spurs in an improved second period showing.
Former top-flight goalkeeper Hart remarked that the next goal was "totally avoidable".
"I do understand the fans' disappointment," Hart added. "I know the part Vicario is playing. He's a excellent team player, he's a true leader in the dressing room but in the end you are going to be judged by your decisions.
"The keeper was deeply involved in what ended up to be the winning goal."

Thomas Frank Defended His Goalkeeper Vicario After the Match
Italian international the keeper is in his third season with Tottenham.
The 29-year-old stated following the game that he had to take the criticism.
"That score was a error of mine, I accept accountability for it," he said.
"My aim was to clear the ball far and I simply struck the ball in a bad manner. It was an more difficult mountain to overcome."
He stated being booed "comes with the game".
"I am mature, how can I respond?" he added. "We can't be affected by the circumstances in the stands. Supporters have the entitlement to do what they think.
"It is on the team to stay more composed, to focus on ourselves. We are lacking in composure and poise to reverse results. Today is a poor loss and it is hard to take."
'It Shocked Me No One Went Back to the Goal Line'
In spite of the keeper's error, it was far from an simple score for Harry Wilson to convert.
In fact it was the next most distant Premier League score of the season – after Adams' 43.3 yard goal for Bournemouth against Sunderland, which interestingly also occurred on the same day.
Wilson stated he was "somewhat surprised" that he still had an open net to target.
10 moments passed between Vicario coming out of his area and the midfielder shooting – which was five moments following the kick.
"It seemed to me like the keeper was out of the area for a long time," Wilson remarked.
"It amazed me not one of the defenders went back to the line. When none of them covered the goal, my eyes sparked a bit.
"Udogie fell as well, which allowed me a bit of additional opportunity. After that it was solely about attempting to achieve the correct contact and get it towards goal. I felt a good sense, as soon as it left my boot, that it was on the right line."

Jeering While We Are Still in Play Is Totally Unacceptable - the Manager
Although Vicario's error led headlines, this was an overall bad performance for Tottenham to continue their home ground struggles.
The match was their tenth at home loss of the year in the league, a shared club statistic along with 1994 and 2003.
They still have home fixtures against Frank's former club Brentford and title holders the Reds to come prior to the end of the year.
Just a single of those wins have occurred since the manager took over from Ange Postecoglou in the off-season.
"When you're down 2-0 following the opening, there is a mountain to overcome," stated the boss.
"During in a poor run, all aspects appears to work against you as well – the opening was a deflected attempt, the next is a error from the keeper.
"This result puts us in a place where we have lost another match. Every game has a single narrative, this game we were defeated in the early stages.
"We simply need to continue striving. The second half was much better and hopefully something we can use to learn."
Spurs have been defeated in 4 straight at home capital clashes for the initial time in the top division.
Furthermore they are averaging nine point five shots and 3.2 efforts on goal per game in the Premier League – their poorest rates on record in a one season (dating back to the 2003-04 season).
Ex- Fulham midfield player Danny Murphy stated that Frank has to endure the criticism.
"He's got accept the criticism," Murphy said. "He's accepted a prestigious job at a major team with massive anticipation. There is pressure and duty that comes with that.
"The performances at their stadium have been disappointing and they have to improve {quickly|
