Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, the company has said.
An official for the firm stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was made after an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
He has published over four dozen titles in total, which features a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
